Maintenance Information and Tips

Maintenance Information and Tips

We highly discourage the 3M blue filters or any of the thick filters because they can restrict air flow and cause the unit to freeze.

The inside condensate lines should be flushed out once a year, both up and down. This is a home maintenance item and is very easy to do, call the office and we can walk you through it or better yet, schedule annual maintenance with us.

If you ever see water in the pan upstairs or water coming out of the emergency overflow that comes out of the side of your house at the second-floor level, you need to cut the unit off and call our office.

Clean leaves and debris from the system’s outdoor condenser grille. If you notice the interior is very dirty, contact us to perform a power wash that will not bend the fins of the grille.

It is highly recommended that you try your system(s) out in the spring and fall before the temperatures turn severe to ensure proper operation.

Keep your thermostat manual in a common place so you may refer to it for programming, resetting, batteries, etc.

If your thermostat goes blank, first check your breakers. Thermostats may vary up to two degrees. Adjust up or down if areas are too cool or too warm. Adjusting thermostats more than a degree or two will cause the aux light to come on temporarily.
